“ Really authentic Vietnamese street food! I got food to go and the guy there was super nice and cheerful. I'm glad there's a cool takeaway place like this in Bowness. Especially with lots of options for dietary restrictions. When I told the guy I was vegan and allergic to peanuts (yikes yeah I'm that customer), he was so nice and gave me lots of options for sauces and add ons. I really appreciated it! Edit: wanted to add this in that the food was fab! We loved it! We got tofu salad rolls, tofu vermicelli bowl, and satay peanut tofu noodle soup. All were delicious! I want to try the Bahn mi next time but I'll likely get the salad rolls every time! Would recommend people try district 5 and come to Bowness to patron the other businesses too. “ district 5 vietnamese is my go-to for lunch. especially the tofu sub, which is so delicious it usually vanishes before i even make it home (and im basically next door). bread is always fresh, veggies crisp, tofu perfect every single time. youll usually spot tommy, delivering ridiculously friendly, and welcoming service. feels like you a reg on your first visit heads up: they are closed on tuesdays, which is honestly the only thing standing between me and total tofu sub enlightenment. if youre in the neighbourhood, this is the spot for a takeout sanny ”
“ District 5 has the best Vietnamese food hands down. Our favourite place in the city. The salad rolls are freshly made, spring rolls are amazing, and the chili sauce is hardcore! the Garlic Noodles with bulgogi beef is to die for. It’s worth every penny. ”
“ Overall, the food was tasty. I would say the portion sizes are smaller than other places though. Everyone was still hungry after. The staff is very kind and friendly. Ordered takeout and had to drive around a little bit to find a parking spot. There is a small counter space you might be able to eat at, but it is primarily a takeout location. ”
